Apple to repair iPhone 6 Plus with faulty cameras2015-08-24 03:41 by DanielaTags: Apple, iPhone 6 Plus
Apple has admitted that some of its iPhone 6 Plus devices purchased between September 2014 and January 2015 are with faulty cameras. According to the company, only a small number of 6 Pluses have a defect component that affects image quality and images appear blurry. The manufacturer starts a campaign to replace the iSight camera on the back of those phones at no charge. The problem doesn't affect the iPhone 6. To facilitate its customers, Apple offers a serial number checker allowing them to find out if their iPhone 6 Plus is eligible for the recall. Serial number can be found under "Settings > General > About" on an iPhone. It's also on the device's original box and can be looked up on iTunes. Owners of faulty phones can go to an authorized service provider, any Apple store, or contact technical support to set up a swap. The company notes that wireless carriers are not able to fix the issue. This is not the first replacement program for Apple. Previously, the company had to replace the faulty battery of the iPhone 5, among other similar replacements. Read more -here-
