The annual study from the American Customer Satisfaction Index that has been released recently, showed that Verizon Wireless topped the Tier 1 carriers for year 2013 in terms of customer satisfaction. It leads with score of 73 points of 100, ahead of Sprint, which stalled at 71 in the period. AT&T Mobility gained 1% to 70, while T-Mobile dipped 1% to 68. Customers have rated the reliability of wireless service in terms of call clarity (78.1), dropped calls (76.1) and network coverage (77.8). Customers, however, said they do not find the range of available voice and data plans to be varied (73.7) and for smartphone users, who rely on their wireless plans for streaming video and surfing the Web, data upload/download speeds are lacking (72). Thanks to investments in technology and network upgrades, the wireless industry recorded a 2.9 percent gain in customer satisfaction in 2013 compared with last year, according to the report.
